Therapeutic Temazcal with Victor & Laura

Experience the ritual of Temazcalli in its most traditional and healing form.

Our guides are Victor Medina and Laura Segro. Victor is a Master Temazcalero from Mexico City with more than 12 years experience, specializing in the emotional and physical healing benefits of this sacred ritual.  Laura is a Clinical Psychologist from the USA and has been working under Victors guidance in Ancestral Medicine for three years. Together they create a very special energy and space for healing work.

Temazcalli is a traditional and ritual steam bath that has been used by the  indigenous tribes of North America for hundreds of years (From Nicaragua to Mexico to Alaska).

The steam created from the heat of the volcanic rocks and herbal water allows for the body to release toxins, and for the mind and heart to release emotions.

Victor and Laura serve as our guides through the entire process, which includes learning about the 4 directions, the elements associated with each and how they are related to us, the singing of ritual songs and of course sharing and processing all of our emotions that are triggered and come forth as a result of working with the elements of fire, water, air and earth.

The process of Temazcalli is often referred the Journey Home to the Mother, as the wooden hut symbolizes the womb of the mother. So we go back to the womb, shed what no longer serves us, gain insight, nurturing, clarity and a higher degree of consciousness, and come out reborn. Our Temazcalli is therapeutically focused on releasing and healing emotional and physical ailments within the mind and body, and we do this within groups, privately for just one person, or families and couples.  When working with families, we accept children of all ages.

This means that we are only working privately with individuals, couples and very small groups of family and friends.  Pricing starts at $250 USD with 50% deposit via paypal.
